presidential debate

All Eyes On U.S.

Welp, it’s another Monday evening, and that means it’s time to post.

Let’s get it!

Hot Mess #1: Donald Trump for just being Donald Trump

Last week, a video from 2005 was leaked of Mr. Trump and NBC’s Billy Bush having a conversation about women on the set of a soap opera. Even though the men are off camera for the majority of the video, they can clearly be heard exchanging crass comments about women. Trump even goes on to mention how he hit on one woman (now identified as Entertainment Tonight‘s Nancy O’Dell) before being rejected saying, “I did try and f— her. She was married.”

Unfortunately, this Trump comment was not the worst in a series of unforgiveables. Throughout the conversation, Trump goes on to claim that being a celebrity has allowed him to have his way with women and that he can grab them “by the p—y.” #Gross

Honestly, we all knew that Trump was a dirty dog. During his entire campaign, he has made one offensive comment after another, so why should anyone be surprised?

Hot Mess #2: Billy Bush for just being a mess

When I was younger, I watched NBC’s Access Hollywood religiously. The show not only allowed me to get all of my celeb news/gossip for the week, but it also helped me to realize my passion for everything entertainment.

I was so impressed by Nancy O’Dell and Billy Bush’s chemistry as co-hosts, and wanted to be just like them (I sound like a child lol)….Anyways, having Billy Bush be a part of this hot mess story surrounding Donald Trump is MOST disappointing.

Do better, Billy.

p.s. Maybe I could forgive Billy if he hadn’t also defended Ryan Lochte’s behavior in Brazil not that long ago. Now, I’m questioning his judgment and character as a person… We’ll see what decision NBC makes on whether or not to end his contract. Right now, it’s not looking too good for the veteran anchor.

FUN FACT: Billy Bush is the first cousin of President George W. Bush. See the resemblance?

Apparently, Billy didn’t publicize this relation  in favor of his growing television career. Too bad distancing himself from the Bush family still didn’t keep him from being an ass. #sideeye

Hot Mess #3: Kaleigh McEnany for being annoying

Yesterday, in an attempt to take the focus off of the leaked video mentioned above, Donald Trump held a press conference featuring former President Bill Clinton’s rape accusers. Most informed journalists saw both the conference and its timing (just before the second presidential debate) as a way for Trump to put someone else in hot water besides himself.

Actually, most people seemed to understand what Trump was doing other than Kaleigh. Like a chihuahua, Kaleigh would not shut up at the pre-debate panel about how the press conference was not a “stunt” and how Clinton’s accusers should be heard.

No matter how much Kaleigh’s fellow CNN panelists tried to explain that Trump’s act was disingenuous, the poor blonde just couldn’t comprehend.

Personally, I didn’t think there was anyone worse than Fox’s Tomi Lahren, but I guess I was wrong…

Side note: The topics of sexual assault and rape are very important and Clinton’s accusers have every right to tell their stories. However, it’s probably best if it’s treated more like a very serious conversation and less like a sideshow at a circus.

Hot Mess #4: The presidential debate for making everyone uncomfortable

If you did not watch the debate last night, you probably did yourself a HUGE favor.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper and ABC’s Martha Raddatz served as moderators and were relentless in their questions for Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. From discussing Trump’s  disturbing comments about women to Mrs. Clinton’s email scandal, the room felt uncomfortable even through the TV for the first 45 minutes. Not to mention, Bill Clinton was also in the audience and behind him were his rape accusers…Yikes.

The Debate Moderators Went In Hard And People Loved It

To be honest, the whole thing was #teamtoomuch.

Sometimes, I just don’t even have the capacity to accept that this messiness is what our presidential election has turned into. Everyone is a liar or a fraud or a cheater, and I just can’t handle.

Anyways, I know the world has its eyes on us, and our country is just the epitome of a hot mess.

Sigh…
